Live class certificates you can verify online

A live class certificate on Masterclass.tv is a certificate of attendance. You earn it by watching at least half of a class, live or as a replay. It shows your name, the class, the expert and the date, and has its own public verification page that anyone can open to confirm it is real.

What is on the certificate

  • Your name, as you enter it in your account
  • The class title and the expert who taught it
  • The date of the class and how long you watched
  • A unique code and a verification URL

It certifies attendance. It is not an academic credit or a professional license, and it says so plainly.

How you earn a certificate

  1. 01

Join with a ticket or All Access

Certificates come with every ticket and with All Access. Preview viewing and the one time taster replay do not count.

  2. 02

    Watch at least half

Live minutes and replay minutes add up. Missed the start? Finish it on the replay.

  3. 03

    Add your name

We ask for the name to print the first time you earn one. The certificate then appears in your account with its link.

Share it on your profile

Add the certificate to the certifications section of your professional profile, your CV or your portfolio. Use the class title as the name, Masterclass.tv as the issuer, the class date, the code as the credential ID and the verification URL as the credential link. Anyone who clicks it sees the verification page with the same details.

For employers

Open the link, or go to masterclass.tv/certificates/ followed by the code. A valid certificate shows the name, class, expert and date. Companies on live training for teams also get a certificate report per person.

Questions, answered

How do I get a certificate for a live class?

Buy a ticket or use All Access, then watch at least half of the class, live or as a replay. The certificate appears in your account with a public verification link.

Can I get a certificate from the replay only?

Yes. Replay minutes count the same as live minutes, so you can earn it without attending at the start time.

Is the certificate accredited?

No. It is a certificate of attendance that confirms you watched the class. It is not an academic credit or a professional license.

Can I change the name on a certificate?

Yes, write to [email protected] from the email address of your account and we will correct it. The verification page updates with it.

Does the taster replay give a certificate?

No. The one time free taster replay is a preview of the format and does not include a certificate.
